Tinubu Hails AFN, Says Operations Are Producing Measurable Results
Nigeria security operations results have taken center stage as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu publicly praised the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) for the visible progress recorded in ongoing military campaigns nationwide. In a detailed assessment of the country’s security situation, the President affirmed that sustained and coordinated operations by the armed forces are delivering tangible outcomes across all six geopolitical zones, marking a turning point in the fight against terrorism, banditry, and other criminal threats.
President Tinubu noted that the Nigerian Armed Forces have intensified both kinetic and intelligence driven operations, particularly in regions long plagued by insurgency, kidnapping, and violent extremism. From the Northeast where remnants of terrorist groups are being flushed out, to the Northwest where bandit networks are under pressure, the President said improved coordination between the military, intelligence agencies, and security services has significantly weakened criminal structures and reduced their capacity to regroup.
According to the Commander in Chief, recent gains are supported by verifiable security data, including the neutralization of high profile bandit leaders, disruption of terror logistics, and the recovery of communities previously held under fear. The acquisition of modern military assets such as advanced surveillance equipment, fighter helicopters, and tactical intelligence platforms has strengthened the military’s ability to anticipate threats and launch targeted operations. This has helped shift Nigeria’s security posture from reactive responses to proactive offensives against criminal hideouts and border enclaves.
Beyond battlefield victories, President Tinubu emphasized that the real success of these operations lies in the gradual restoration of daily life in formerly volatile areas. Secured highways have reopened critical trade routes, farmers are returning to their farmlands, and internally displaced persons are beginning to resettle in their communities. Schools and local markets are reopening in places that had been deserted for years, reflecting early signs of economic revival and social stability tied directly to improved security conditions.

The President reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustaining the momentum by prioritizing troop welfare, continuous training, and further investment in technology. He acknowledged that while challenges remain, the progress recorded so far proves that Nigeria’s security strategy is on the right path. Tinubu urged citizens to continue supporting the armed forces, stressing that lasting peace requires collective resolve. With measurable improvements already visible, the government remains focused on building a safer and more secure Nigeria for all.
