Insecurity In Nigeria Requires More Efforts: US Congressmen. The delegation and Nigerian officials examined specific, concrete steps and actions which, if fully implemented, the Congressman believes would significantly enhance security for all Nigerian citizens. Despite his firm call for more effort, Congressman Moore also offered praise for recent successes. He specifically thanked the Nigerian government and President Bola Tinubu for the successful rescue of 100 abducted Catholic school children, hailing it as a “positive demonstration” of the government’s improved response capabilities and commitment to the state of emergency declaration on security.

NSA Ribadu, who hosted the delegation, stated that the visit followed earlier security talks in Washington, D.C., focusing on counter-terrorism cooperation, regional stability, and strengthening the strategic security partnership.
