Fire Service, Civil Defence, Others Recruitment: CBT Date Set for Next Week’s Rollout. The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has moved to the final stages of its mass recruitment exercise, announcing that the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for shortlisted candidates will commence soon.

This development marks the next critical hurdle for the over 1.9 million Nigerians who applied for positions across the four paramilitary agencies under the Board’s purview.

The highly anticipated CBT is set to be conducted simultaneously across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). This phase is designed to streamline the assessment of applicants for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Fire Service (FFS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).

In a public notice, the CDCFIB conveyed appreciation for the patience demonstrated by the immense pool of applicants and assured the public that arrangements for the screening are fully in place.

  • Actionable Advice for Applicants: All candidates who applied for vacancies in any of the four services are directed to visit the official CDCFIB portal next week to check their shortlisting status. The portal will also provide the specific designated centres and scheduled time for their examination.

The sheer volume of applications received over 1.9 million

underscores the intensity of the competition. The CBT will serve as the primary written filter, assessing the aptitude, general knowledge, and comprehension of candidates. Only those who successfully scale this competitive academic test will progress to the subsequent phases of the selection process:

  1. Physical Fitness Tests
  2. Document Verification
  3. Intensive Interviews

The recruitment process covers various ranks across the Superintendent, Inspectorate, and Assistant Cadres, with qualifications ranging from Senior Secondary School Certificates to degrees in specialized fields like Law, Engineering, and Medicine.

The CDCFIB has issued a stringent caution against the activities of fraudsters exploiting the job-seeking public.

The Board emphatically stated that the recruitment exercise is free and that no payment should be made to any individual or group promising placement, examination answers, or provisional appointments. Applicants are urged to rely solely on the official CDCFIB portal for all updates and to disregard any communication received via unofficial phone numbers, emails, or social media handles.

The commitment remains firm to conduct a transparent and merit-based exercise to induct competent and dedicated individuals into the nation’s security and emergency response architecture. FOR MORE INFORMATION, I RECOMMEND SONGBUX.
