Davido DNA Paternity Dispute as Anu Adeleke Seeks Father Figure
The long-standing Davido DNA paternity dispute has reached a volatile boiling point as Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, known globally as Davido, issued a blistering rejection of a renewed plea for a DNA test from 12-year-old Anuoluwapo Mitchelle.
The young girl, who claims to be the singer’s eldest daughter, took to Instagram to share a heartfelt open letter, detailing years of emotional trauma and school bullying fueled by her disputed identity. However, the “Unavailable” singer swiftly shut down the appeal, asserting that the matter was medically settled years ago.
Responding via social media, Davido revealed that he has already undergone five separate DNA tests across various medical facilities to put the rumors to rest. According to the singer, he personally selected three hospitals while the mother, Ayo Labinjoh, chose two others, all of which allegedly returned negative results.
“I am not your father,” Davido stated bluntly, accusing Labinjoh of being an “obsessed fan” and threatening legal action. He expressed frustration at the persistence of the claims, insisting he never had a relationship with the mother outside of the DNA collection process and suggesting she “needs to go to jail” for the ongoing harassment.
In a dramatic escalation, Ayo Labinjoh has fired back, disputing Davido’s count of five tests. She maintains that only one test was ever conducted, which she alleges was fraudulent and compromised. Labinjoh claims that blood was drawn but never actually tested, and she has now vowed to escalate the matter to an international level. Pointing to the singer’s American citizenship, she announced plans to petition the United States State Department to oversee a fresh, independent DNA test at the US Embassy in Nigeria to ensure total transparency and “clean” results.

The emotional toll on the minor at the center of the storm has become a focal point of the controversy. Anuoluwapo shared that she has suffered “mental anguish” since the age of six, often returning home in tears after being mocked by classmates. Her mother revealed that the teenager has fainted at school and required psychotherapy to cope with the public scrutiny.
As the battle shifts from social media commentary to potential diplomatic involvement, the “Real Vol. 1” star remains firm in his denial, while the Labinjoh family insists they will not stop until a supervised, indisputable test is performed.
