Clergywoman and gospel singer Toluwani Odukoya has publicly confirmed the end of her marriage to Olumide Ijogun, describing the separation as a painful yet transformative event that ultimately redefined her life. Separation Redefined My Life, Toluwani Odukoya said.
Odukoya, who is the daughter of the late Pastors Bimbo and Taiwo Odukoya and currently an associate senior pastor at The Fountain of Life Church, made the disclosure in a recent episode of her YouTube show, Toluwani Unfiltered.
The pastor, who married Ijogun in 2012 and shares three children (two daughters and a son) with him, revealed that the end of her marriage came amidst a devastating period of loss. She described the separation itself as the “first loss,” which was then closely followed, within a four-month span, by the passing of her stepmother, her father’s twin sister, and eventually, her father, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya.
Despite the intense grief, Odukoya reflected on the dissolution of the marriage as a circumstance beyond her control. She noted that while her ex-husband was a “great man,” she believes marriages cannot last if they are not ordained by God, stressing that both she and Ijogun often prayed for guidance regarding their union.

Reflecting on the experience, Odukoya stated that the separation proved to be an unexpected catalyst for personal and spiritual growth, forcing her to lean fully on her faith and family. She credited her siblings for playing a crucial role in her healing journey, describing them as unwavering in their support and ready to “defend and stand by you.”
The clergywoman acknowledged the pain associated with a marriage ending, stating that “when a marriage ends, you experience some deaths.” However, she asserted that going through the difficult period ultimately brought about a positive redefinition of her life.
