LASU Opens Part-Time Degree Applications for 2025/2026 Session

The Lagos State University (LASU) has officially announced the commencement of admissions into its School of Part-Time Studies (LASU-SPTS) for the 2025/2026 academic session. This window offers prospective students the opportunity to earn a degree without the rigid structure of full-time programmes, with all courses domiciled at the University’s Ojo Campus.

The announcement, released by the University Registrar, Mr. Emmanuel A. Fanu, detailed the eligibility criteria, available programmes across five faculties, and the application procedure.

To be eligible for the part-time programmes, applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a minimum of five O’Level credits in relevant subjects.

Candidates seeking Direct Entry admission are also welcome, provided they hold an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) certificate from a recognized polytechnic or a LASU Diploma with an Upper Credit classification in a relevant field of study.

The part-time programmes are available across five major faculties, providing a wide array of options:

Application Procedure and Fees

The application process requires candidates to follow specific steps outlined by the University:

2. Submission: After payment, applicants are required to complete the application form, upload all necessary credentials, and submit the form online via the official website.
3. Entrance Examination: All candidates will subsequently be invited to sit for an entrance examination to qualify for admission.

Successful candidates who pass the entrance examination will be required to remit two additional, separate fees: an Acceptance Fee of ₦30,000 and a Medical Fee of ₦30,000.
