The Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank Plc, Roosevelt Ogbonna, has made a significant entrance into London’s most exclusive property market, securing a luxurious mansion on the famed Bishops Avenue for a reported £15 million.

The purchase places the Nigerian banking titan among the global elite who inhabit the street, colloquially known as “Billionaires’ Row,” in the prestigious Hampstead neighborhood. The final price of £15 million represents one of the most substantial property transactions in London this season, though it was noted to be a discount from its original asking price, which had been listed as high as £17 million when the property first entered the market in 2022.

Mr. Ogbonna, who has steered Access Bank one of Africa’s largest financial institutions by customer base, since May 2022, reportedly completed the purchase with financing assistance provided by the bank’s United Kingdom subsidiary, Access Bank UK.

The Bishops Avenue, spanning the border between Hampstead and East Finchley, has historically been a magnet for international wealth, attracting industrialists, royalty, and celebrities.
